Just for Fun Today.....

Had a little bit of fun today with this. I commissioned a bunch of my family and friends to vote on five photos, picking their favorite, for this weeks challenge at I Heart Faces. As everyone knows, this is Breast Cancer Awareness month and everyone who participates enters a Pink Photo.

This was a lot of fun and here are the top three winners. I have entered the First Place photo in the contest. Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote and help me choose from such great subjects.

Breast Cancer Awareness – Pink Photo Contest

This week’s theme is in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Our photo entry should include a human face and the color pink!

I had a really hard time trying to pick out a photo for this. I had taken a specific photo earlier this month and I loved it. But when I started looking through all my other photos (of recent) I just couldn't decide. So I put it to a vote among my family and friends. And this is the photo that won. I pray that when my grandaughter's and my great niece (pictured here) grow up, they will not have to deal with this disease.

My prayers go out to all the women afflicted by this disease and all the

"Survivors" for their courage and strength.

Week 42 - In The Orchard Photo Challenge

"An orchard is an intentional planting of trees or shrubs that is maintained for food production."

This week we are to record a moment in an orchard. Whenever I think of an Orchard I think, apples, peaches and even a pecan tree. Of course living in central (and southern) Florida all we have are Orange Groves. But when you look at the definition of an Orchard, oranges certainly fit the bill. So, this past Sunday my husband took me out in search of an Orange Orchard (Grove). We drove (no kidding) about 80 miles from beginning to end of our trip, in search of one. And of course, the only face I had was my willing to please husband. I know its not very creative but he drew the line at trespassing onto the private property to pick an orange off the tree.

Here he is standing in front of an Orange Grove in Central Florida. I know I am biased....but I think he is awfully handsome!!

Week 41-| I Heart Beef Photo Challenge

Few weekes ago we were down in Miami to celebrate my Dad's 80th birthday and we gathered at a local restaurant for the celebration. All the food there is authentic and so totally yummy. Here is a shot of my husband's Grilled Argentine Steak covered with onions!! Yummy.....Now I'm hungry!!!

Love That Shot

This is a photo of my Great Nephew Jake. I took it just two weeks ago at my Dad's 80th Birthday celebration. I love how the light on the left side of his face lightens his blue eye. I honestly wish I knew (remembered) what processing I did on this photo, but sadly I can't. I edited over 1500 photos for that weekend (two birthday's celebrated that same weekend) Whew!!! :)
