Week 30 • Purple Photo Challenge!

This week is Purple week over at I Heart Faces and I had the perfect little model to pull off this weeks challenge. One ten month old little girl named Samantha, purple tutu and a couple of perfectly adorned pigtails! There is nothing like a little girl in a Tutu. Isn't she just yummy? She is just perfect. (Of course I might be biased since she is my Great Niece) :) Thank you Samantha (and her Mommy) for a perfect afternoon shoot.

Week 29 - Over My Head

Not only were these two love birds over their heads taking on this ride, they were over everyones head! They were hoisted up about 300ft and they held hands the entire ride down. Ahhhhh, young love........

Fix-It Friday #62 • Photo Editing Fun!

Yay!! It's Fix-Friday over at I Heart Faces. This week we are using this photo of an adorable cutie pie taken by photographer Amy Locurto.

On this fix I used PSE. I cropped the photo a bit applied FB Vintage Summer with a little Vignette. Isn't she such a cutie.



This one I used LR3. Simply cropped and applied General Grayscale. Applied a little Dodge to lighten her face (and bow) a bit and a little vignette.

Week 28 -My Story In Photos: I Heart My Country

I grew up in South Florida (Miami) and moved up to Central Florida 13 years ago. I have to say that even though I miss the conveniences of living in a big City (and missing my Grandkids and family), there is nothing better than living in a small town. My husband and I live in a little town called Port Orange which is just adjacent to Daytona Beach and I wouldn't change a thing about it. I really love being far from the big cities (Orlando, Jacksonville, etc.) but being just close enough. It was really hard picking out a few photos to depict life in Central Florida, but here they are. Hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Week 27 • Teens-"Only"

This past Fourth of July weekend my daughter, son-in-law and our four grand kids drove up to our home in Daytona Beach to spend the Holiday weekend. I've told my two teenage grandkids about the challenges I participate (or try to) every week at I Heart Faces. When I explained to them that this week the challenge was ONLY for teen photos they were game. I have to admit I was slightly excited myself along with a little fearful of the conflict it might cause (LOL). So, after much arguing over who had the best shot and who wanted my camera next, we chose this photo taken by my (almost 15) teenage grandson at the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse. I thought it was quite interesting and amusing when he (once again) asked for the camera and got down on the ground and asked me to stand still.....(so yes, thats me in the photo).......I am hopeful that they will get that photo-bug. (Oh yes and a little photo editing with Grandma's help on LR3). He was totally thrilled when we added his name to the photo...hehehe too cute. I think he did a swell job. Good job Junior!!!
